The story
Born in the small town of Thaba Nchu in the Free State, Vibe Afrika are Mpho "JB Guitar" Sobuza and Thato "TiDO" Ngubeni — two deeply rooted musicians whose journey began side by side in the respected BAAGISANE afro-jazz band.
From those foundations they built Afro JMT, which evolved into the powerful brand the world now knows as Vibe Afrika — a duo equally at home behind the decks, behind the production console, or in front of a live crowd.
Their signature blends Afro House rhythms with traditional indigenous percussion, creating a sound that is unmistakably South African yet built for any dancefloor on earth. Their collaborative spirit has lifted dozens of artists from Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo, and Bloemfontein into the spotlight.
